Getting started
Weird Requests is a marketplace for the absurd, the specific, and the creative — the kind of request no normal gig site has a category for. Someone posts it, someone weird delivers it, and the money sits safely in escrow until it's done.
The two roles
Everyone can do both, on any request:
- Posters describe what they want, set a price, and pay into escrow when they pick someone.
- Fulfillers apply to requests, get picked, deliver the goods, and get paid.
There's no separate "seller account." You post when you want something weird done, and you fulfill when you spot a request you can nail.
How a request flows
- Post. You write the request, set a price and a deadline, and it goes through a quick human moderation pass.
- Applications. Fulfillers pitch themselves and (optionally) propose a different price.
