What a valid notice needs
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or their authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material that is allegedly infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URLs are best).
- Your contact info — name, address, phone number, email.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use is not authorized.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the info in the notice is accurate and that you're authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
Counter-notices
If we take down your content and you believe it was wrongly removed, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. We'll forward it to the original complainant; if they don't sue within 10–14 business days, we'll restore the content.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that receive multiple valid takedowns are terminated. We track strikes for IP infringement the same way we track other rule violations.
