# Brand accounts & campaigns

Companies use Weird Requests to commission absurd things at scale — a hundred fans filming themselves explaining your product to their grandmother beats another display ad. Brand accounts make that workable.

## What a brand account gets you

- A **✓ verified badge** everywhere your handle appears — posters know the money is real and the company is who it says it is.
- A **public brand page** at `/brands/your-handle` with your logo, description, website link, and your public campaign history.
- The **brand dashboard**: campaigns, requests in flight, total spent, and reach in one place.
- **Campaigns** — group related requests under a shared theme, budget cap, and date range.
- **Analytics** per request: views, applications, completions, public-share count.
- Bulk conveniences: duplicate a previous request, post variations, archive.

Fees are identical to individual accounts — 5% poster fee, nothing else. Verification doesn't cost anything either.

## Applying

Apply at [/brands/apply](/brands/apply). You'll need:

- Company legal name, website, and a description of what you're planning.
- A logo.
- A primary contact email.
- **Business documents** — registration certificate, EIN letter (US), or your country's equivalent. This is how the badge stays meaningful.

A human reviews every application. Approved → badge + dashboard unlock, and your brand page goes live. Rejected → you'll get the reason, and you can reapply once it's fixed.

While verification is pending you can use the platform as a normal account; brand features unlock at approval.

## Campaigns

A campaign is a folder with a budget:

- **Theme + dates** — "Launch week stunts, June 1–14."
- **Budget cap** — the campaign stops accepting new picks when the cap is reached, so a viral moment can't quietly triple your spend.
- **Requests** — post as many under it as the budget allows; each one behaves like a normal request (moderation pass, applications, escrow, the lot).

The dashboard rolls up status across the campaign: how many requests live, in progress, delivered, done, and what's been spent.

## The same rules apply

A badge is not diplomatic immunity:

- Every request passes the same human moderation. Weird yes, harmful no — read the [rules](/rules).
- Escrow works identically: you pay at pick, money releases at acceptance.
- Strikes apply to brand accounts too. A brand that ghosts fulfillers or tries to take deals off-platform gets struck like anyone else.
- Fulfillers' deliveries go public **only with their explicit opt-in** — your campaign doesn't change their consent rights. If you want public showcases, say so in the request and let people opt in with eyes open.

## Working with fulfillers at scale

- Be brutally specific in the brief — at volume, ambiguity multiplies into a hundred slightly-wrong deliveries.
- Use the per-request chat early; one clarifying answer to the first fulfiller often becomes copy you paste into the request itself.
- Budget for revisions: each request carries one revision round, same as everywhere.

## What brand accounts don't do (yet)

One seat per brand account for now — no teams or role permissions. Direct invitations to specific fulfillers and CSV exports are on the roadmap. If your use case needs something we don't do, [partnerships](/partnerships) is the door to knock on.
